How these train engines are
made...
These trains are reproductions of the original carving, with
all the detail of the original preserved perfectly. Each train is numbered
consecutively, from one to three-thousand, as it comes out of the original
mold. When the three-thousandth engine has been produced the artist will
sign and write the date of retirement on the bottom of all trains that are
still in his possession. The artist may sculpt several different engines
from the same railroad line, each with different engine numbers. An
example of this is the Southern line. The Southern 1481 retired in June
1990, so the artist sculpted another engine, the Southern 1400. All 3,000
reproductions of the Southern 1400 were made in January 1993 so he sculpted the
Southern 1841, to replace it. The Southern 1841 then retired, with all
3,000 made, in February 1998. The most recent Southern engine is the
"Southern 97" and is still available at this time.
A word about Retired trains...
I have included a
list of all the trains that have retired, so you can keep track of the engines
that you may already have. I have listed the retired trains by the date
they retired. Trains dated before 1997 are sold out and only available
through private collectors, presumably. Engines dated from 1997 through
the present "may" still be available, if you order any of these trains
I will try my best to get them for you. You may call to check their
availability, before ordering, at 1-877-354-2691. You may also just place
an order and I will inform you if the engine is unavailable.
New arrivals...
Don't
forget to check out the link to the "NEW" trains section, there are
new train engines being added all the time.
Frames were very nice to see, I wish you could. This link will take
you to the list of Trains, click each train name that you want to see and then
use your back button to return to the list after your finished with each
picture. Thanks. List of Trains
